Today the entire route has been carefully restored and it\u2019s much safer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udcb0I recommend buying the tickets for El Caminito del Rey early in there official website. A normal ticket is 10\u20ac. -Otherwise, it\u2019s fully booked or only guided tickets are available 18\u20ac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0fThe guided tour can only help you learn more about the region\u2019s history, geography and biodiversity. But not for the trail directions. For the impressive views, climb the 50 steps up to the Homenaje Tower of Alcazaba. It\u2019s the highest point to observe Antequera .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3\ufe0f\u20e3 Mirador de las Almenillas, located just a few steps from the Antequera Alcazaba. You can also try to find all the Antequera churches from there. There are few rides that goes and comes from Malaga to Setenil de Las Bodegas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udce3We couldn\u2019t find any direct bus or train to Setenil.\nSo another tip is to go to Ronda then Setenil de Las Bodegas and visit both.\n<br>\ud83d\udcadRonda is the closest and best-known town near Setenil. It has the best views over the sea and Axarquia mountains around.\n<br>\ud83c\udf66 Have an ice cream near the white arches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd0eOther viewpoints: Mirador de Chanquete, Mirador Balc\u00f3n de Carabeo , Mirador de La Torrecilla and for more altitude: Pico del Cielo (6hours hike)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\uded6Visit the amazing Nerja Caves with largest stalactite in the world., 10\u20ac per adult \ud83d\udcb0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udff0Take a picture of the impressive Aqueduct of El \u00c1guila from below<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc20 Wander around Nerjas historic Center: flowerful street: Calle Tajillo, Climb the Rainbow steps to see the beautifull \u2018La Dorada\u2019 fishing boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udf74Eat local tapas, Nerja still preserves the Andalusian tradition of offering a free tapas for each drink. There are various restaurants and bars along the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Promenade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">-Playa El Palo, a beach filled with locals in a tiny colourfull fishing village.\n<br>\ud83c\udf7d \ud83d\udc20 I recommend restaurant Gabi for fresh fish, paella and the local specialty is espetos (sardine skewers) cooked on a babecue on the beach.\n<br>\ud83d\udeb6\u200d\u2640\ufe0f You can go for a long walk east Malaga, or Rent a bike \ud83d\udeb4 and follow the coastline.\n<br>\ud83d\ude8c You can also take bus number 11 from the city center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">\ud83c\udfd6Beaches near Nerja\n<br>Honestly, I think Nerja has the best picturesque beaches in Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Playa Calahonda, the most popular and central one in Nerja, just at the bottom of Balcon de Europa. If you walk further north you\u2019ll be in Playa Chorrillo, Playa Carabeo then finally Playa de Burianna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-For a good summer vibe, Playa Burriana is your spot in Nerja! It\u2019s also Nerja\u2019s largest beach. It has a great youth atmosphere. You\u2019ll no doubt find people playing beach volley \ud83c\udfd0 , tennis\ud83c\udfbe , jet skiing, parasailing or pedal boating \ud83d\udef6 ! And most of the activities are available to rent..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">-\ud83c\udfddPlaya de Maro, I think my favourite beach in this area and the wildest.
